What we collect
An account is required to upload and be scored. When you sign up, we collect your username, email address, and password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase - we never see or store your password in plain text). You can also use a guest account instead, which skips email/password entirely and is meant for one-off use (guest accounts don't appear on the main leaderboard). When you upload, we collect the photo, audio clip, or video file itself, an optional title for it, your IP address (used only to apply a temporary rate limit and not stored long-term), and a coarse, country-level location derived from your IP at signup (not a precise location, and not updated as you move).
If you create or join a friend leaderboard, we store which group(s) you're a member of. If you start or join a 1-on-1 face-off, your entry is visible only to the other participant (not the public leaderboard), kept the same way as a normal upload. If either of you shares the result (e.g. to a group chat), a combined image of both uploads and the score becomes visible to whoever that link is shared with.
How your upload is used
Your uploaded file is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an automated score. That score is added to your account's running total, which is displayed publicly on the leaderboard alongside your username (and, if you opt in, filtered by your country or a friend group you belong to). Your email address and password are not shown publicly.
Everything you upload is intended to be shown publicly. Do not upload anything you would not want visible to anyone who visits the site, and do not upload identifiable photos, audio, or video of another person without their consent.
Automated content screening
Uploads are automatically screened by the same AI system that generates your score, and content that appears to violate our Terms of Service is rejected before it is stored or published. This is an automated check, not human moderation, and may not catch everything.
Retention and removal
Uploaded files and leaderboard entries are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them. To request removal of your content, contact us at hello@auramaxxed.com.
Third parties
We use Google (Gemini API) to generate scores, Supabase for storage and database hosting, and Render for backend hosting. Each of these providers processes your data under their own privacy terms.
Children's privacy
Auramaxxed is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. An age gate is planned for a future version of this app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
